Valencia Homes
Valencia is a master-planned community built by Lennar (previously Newhall Land and Farming Company) located off the I-5 freeway just north of the San Fernando Valley. The Valencia master plan was initiated in the 1960’s, and construction of single family homes, townhomes and condos is still ongoing. Virtually all Valencia neighborhoods have their own recreation facilities, including pools, spas, parks and basketball courts, and some neighborhoods have clubhouses and tennis courts as well.

Six Flags Magic Mountain
The Valencia master plan was built around the village concept, where each housing development within the master plan is built to include neighborhood shopping areas, elementary schools, parks and paseos (walking trails). The Valencia paseo system extends approximately 30 miles with foot bridges over major roadways, and connects residents to local shopping centers, the Valencia Town Center Mall, the Tournament Players Club (TPC) golf course, and neighborhood recreation areas, parks and schools.
Schools in the Valencia area rank amongst the highest-rated schools in the state, with all schools reporting API scores above the state goal of 800 for 2009. These include the neighborhood elementary schools, Arroyo Seco Junior High School, Rancho Pico Junior High School, Rio Norte Junior High School, Valencia High School, and West Ranch High School.
Valencia is also home to Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor, California Institute of the Arts, College of the Canyons and Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. There are over 40 shopping centers and dozens of restaurants to choose from in the Valencia area, providing a wide range of shopping and dining choices.
