Honey, Start Packing!

your guide to buying and selling Santa Clarita real estate

Homes & Neighborhoods

Homes within the Southern California region are divided into towns and neighborhoods, which makes it easier to find the best neighborhood for your family’s needs based on location, price, schools, safety, quality of life, commute time and amenities.

Santa Clarita Homes and Neighborhoods

The Santa Clarita Valley region is first broken down into towns, which represent the original towns before the City of Santa Clarita was incorporated. These towns are Canyon Country, Castaic, Newhall, Saugus, Stevenson Ranch and Valencia.

To make home searches easier, the Santa Clarita Valley MLS has broken down these towns into smaller geographic areas so you can further refine your search to just the areas that you are interested in. Some of these MLS areas are based on development areas, where there was a single developer and either single or multiple builders for that village, or community. Other MLS areas are based simply on geographic boundaries.

Within each MLS area, searches can be narrowed down even further by searching for homes within certain neighborhoods, sometimes referred to as tracts or developments. You’ll find the details of these neighborhoods on the pages for each town within the Santa Clarita Valley.
